Daniella Levine Cava Has Been the Mayor of Miami-Dade County, Florida, Since 2020.

Born in New York City in 1955, She Graduated From Yale University and Later Earned a Juris Doctor and a Master of Social Work From Columbia University. 

Levine Cava Moved to Miami in 1980 and Worked as an Attorney With Legal Services of Greater Miami. 

She Founded the Human Services Coalition, Now Known as Catalyst Miami, in 1996 to Aid Low-Income Families With Financial Security. 

Levine Cava Served as a Miami-Dade County Commissioner From 2014 Until Her Election as Mayor in 2020. 

As a Commissioner, She Sponsored Legislation for Campaign Finance Transparency and Affordable Housing. 

She Has Been a Strong Advocate for Environmental Protection, Supporting the Paris Climate Agreement and Improving Water Testing in Biscayne Bay. 

In 2018, She Created an Initiative to Protect Pedestrians and Bikers by Improving Road Safety and Biking Accessibility.
